I am a Social Sciences student at McMaster and a commuter! The most important things to me are my family, friends, music and travelling. Another thing that’s important to me is my background, I’m Croatian and it’s been a big part of my life ever since I can remember. I thought coming to McMaster as a commuter would be tough because of how hard it would be to get involved and also having a very different university experience than everyone else. However, Delta Psi Delta has really made me feel included and a part of something great, whether though philanthropy or social events. Something I didn’t expect was how quickly I would bond with everyone, and how quickly these girls would become my best friends. Joining Delta Psi Delta has definitely been one of the best decisions I’ve made, and now I can’t imagine my life without my loving and supportive sisters. Dove Love!

Currently: Final year at McMaster University

In my third year, at an event for a different sorority, I was snatched and told to attend delta psi delta events instead the next semester... I can honestly say being snatched was the best thing that has happened in my undergrad.

The ladies of Delta Psi Delta have made my last two years of university the best two years of my life. Their uplifting, extraordinary and utterly remarkable personalities shine through every time I'm around them. These ladies never cease to amaze me and I have been truly blessed to be a part of this wonderful family.

Sisterhood seemed like something I would never fit into cause I am not the stereotypical party girl like you see in sororities in the movies. After starting at McMaster I realized how different sororities are here than in the movies. Two close friends of mine joined a sorority the first semester at McMaster but I still was slightly unsure that I would fit in. After doing some research into the different sororities at Mac I realized that each one was made for a different type of person. I found the Delta Psi Delta recruitment group and decided to go to an event and right away I felt welcomed and that I would fit in with each and every sister. Now being a sister I have formed many bonds with my sisters and can't wait for the years to come to enjoy being a Delta Psi Delta sister. Sisterhood is a great opportunity while at Mac. All the sisters are a constant support system, they are willing to be there when you are down and when you want to go out and have a good time. I am very lucky to call the girls of Delta Psi Delta my sisters and couldn't have asked to join a better sorority at McMaster this year. The years to come I am sure are going to be filled with their ups and downs but I know my sisters will be by my side the whole time.

Hi to the beautiful people reading this! I’ve graduated with Honours Life Sciences here at McMaster and these past years have definitely been an amazing journey. I wanted to be a part of a sorority ever since my first year but because of one reason or another I never got the chance to actually go through with it. I am so glad that I found Sargam this year who introduced me to Delta Psi Delta and convinced me that it was the best sisterhood which I can now confirm. I have never met a group of girls as welcoming and genuine as the sisters of Delta Psi Delta and I am so grateful that they included me to be a part of their sisterhood. Being a part of Delta Psi Delta, even for short time since I’ve joined, has given me a sense of belonging and shown me the true meaning of having friends that will be there no matter what

I am currently in Commerce at McMaster University. In the summer I lifeguard at Life Time Athletic, and next year you’ll see me working at the Joan Buddle Service Desk at DBAC. I love dogs, going out with friends, The Weeknd, working out, and bettering myself through education and experiences. I’m very easy to get along with but mostly because I’m able to laugh at everything (LOL). Going into first year, I was nervous I wouldn’t make a solid group of friends who would be by my side forever, which sounds odd because if you know me you’d know I’m the most social and bubbly person ever. I never imagined I’d be apart of a sorority, but I saw a Facebook post about winter recruitment and decided to attend an information session. Getting out of my comfort zone and going through the new member process and getting to meet the sisters was worthwhile because the bonds that were created were real, and will last forever. The social events and philanthropy opportunities add to my university experience, and will give me something to look back on and appreciate. My family and best friends are back home, but I’m lucky enough to have sisters with me in Hamilton to make my university feel like home, and to spend time with even after the school year is over. LOVE MY BIG MORGAN!! DOVE LOVE <3.

Being part of a sorority has always been a dream of mine. In making post-secondary decisions, I was in search for a university that would offer me the opportunity for a great education, as well as a sisterhood. Once I became a part of the McMaster community I knew that my next step was to find a sorority I felt comfortable with, and take part of the rush process. If I were to be honest, I was first terrified to actually go out and go to these events because I felt as though I would never be able to fit in with the other girls. But the more I took part in the rush events, the more I realized how badly I wanted to be a part of a sorority. Getting to know the girls of Delta Psi Delta reminded me why I wanted to be in a sisterhood in the first place. I was searching for people who I could call more than friends, and that’s exactly what I found with Delta Psi Delta. Although my journey as an active member has just begun, these girls have already inspired and influenced me to become a better person. I look forward to making memories that would last a lifetime and I’m thankful to have such great sisters to share them with! In terms of what I want to do in the future, I hope to complete a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in social work. With my plan in action, my end goal would be to do what I love best, which is to help others in need and give back to those in my community. #dovelove <3

I am currently studying at Newcastle University. I plan to pursue a career in medicine, hopefully specializing in orthopaedic surgery. I am an avid art lover. Not only do I enjoy listening to all types of music, but I also enjoy playing multiple instruments and singing (to the best of my ability). I am what I would like to consider a movie buff, fining pleasure in curling up with a blanket, a bowl of popcorn, and a good movie. My other hobbies include photography and blogging. Before joining Delta Psi Delta, I felt like I was looking for a sisterhood, which would always have my back, no matter what. For people I could turn to, who would be a shoulder to lean on, when I was too weak to stand up straight. With my sisters, I know that I have a strong support force which will always back me up. whether i need someone to talk to, or someone to help me concentrate, and squeeze in that last bit of studying before an exam. Through thick and thin, my sisters will be there and I couldn't ask for any more! Dove Love

Hello to any lovely individual reading this!! I am from the small island of Trinidad & Tobago in the Caribbean and only recently moved to Canada about 2 years ago. Moving here on my own and leaving my family for grade 12 was probably the scariest thing I’v ever done. Coming to university I had no idea what to expect and I was filled with optimism but also nerves. It was only until my fellow sister Patricia Reyes persuaded me to go to info night of Delta Psi Delta that I finally felt like I found something that made me feel part of something bigger than myself. In such a short time, I had the opportunity to make amazing connections with truly genuine girls that welcomed me with open arms, making me feel so loved and supported. TRUST when I say I never thought I would see myself in a sorority, but it has shown me what true meaning of friendship and sisterhood is. Also I am able to have opportunities like giving back and being involved in my community in so many dynamic ways. Although it has not been easy, finding a balance at university in my opinion is the most important thing and just finding a place for yourself will make the experience even more worth it. BTW I LOVE SOCA AND DANCEHALL and if you don’t know what that is I'm always down to discuss 😉 ❤ lol (ALSO FOOD IS LIFE)
