First Year Social Sciences
Tianna Neil-Simpson
Heyy!! I'm Tianna and I'm currently in my first year at Mac studying social science. Moving away from home for the first time was very daunting as I have never been apart from my friends and family before. Although I met amazing friends, I still felt very lonely during my first few weeks here. Joining DPD has lead to me meeting these smart, beautiful and supportive girls that I'm proud to call my sisters and has helped cure my homesickness
First Year Nursing
Krista Tse
Before joining McMaster and starting my path to nursing school, I’ve always been known to be a shy and quiet person. Going to four different high schools allowed me to meet lots of people but it was hard to create long-lasting friendships. I’ve noticed that within Delta Psi Delta, everyone was friendly and acted like they were all part of a family. A family with strong bonds that correlates to the support system that I have with my friends. With majority of my friends going to different Universities, Delta Psi Delta seemed like a fit for me. I am so glad that I joined it! With constant support from my sisters, it has pushed me to go out of my comfort zone. I am currently one of the reps for the faculty of nursing and this has allowed me to promote something that I love: to be there for others, no matter what situation they are in. This organization provides me with the love and support I need in order to get through with my day and in turn, I would like to reciprocate that. I intend on pursing medical school once I graduate and to give back to the community that has helped me become the person I am today.
Third Year Kinesiology
Miranda Dowling
Going into university, I didn’t even know sororities existed at McMaster. I was lucky enough to become with some wonderful people who were part of Greek life and introduced me to the different sororities at school. Choosing Delta Psi Delta was one of the best decision I’ve made in my university career. I have made so many close friendships, and have felt accepted from the moment I stepped into my first recruitment event. In my spare time, you can find me playing lacrosse for McMaster, going for Saigon Sundays with my friends, or studying at first floor Mills.
